No. 7 Wesleyan (Conn.) Bests Women's Lacrosse, 11-3

BEVERLY, Mass. —The Endicott women's lacrosse team fell to No. 7 nationally ranked Wesleyan (Conn.), 11-3, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.), Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H), and Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) all scored in the setback.

Defensively, Matilda Darrah (Dover, N.H) caused two turnovers and scooped up a career-high seven ground balls for the Gulls. 

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) registered 14 saves (7-6) to help Endicott hold Wesleyan to its second-lowest goal-scoring total of the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE  

  • The Cardinals took down No. 5 nationally ranked Tufts, 14-10, yesterday, prior to playing against Endicott.   
  • Pierce has netted at least one tally or more in all 13 games for Endicott during the 2023 campaign. 
  • Wesleyan is 4-0 all-time versus Endicott.
  • The Cardinals are 6-1 on the road this season.  

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (7-6) visits Curry on Tuesday, April 18 at 7 PM. No. 7 Wesleyan (11-2) travels to Williams on Saturday, April 22 at 1 PM.
