CCC SEMIFINALS: No. 2 Endicott Blanks No. 3 Western New England, 2-0 

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 2 seeded Endicott women's ice hockey team shut out No. 3 Western New England, 2-0, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals on Saturday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Lindsay Goodman (Newmarket, N.H.) and Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) scored in the second (8:07) and third (13:09) periods, respectively, to punch the Gulls' ticket to the CCC Championship next Saturday.

Meanwhile, in goal, Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) turned away 25 shots to improve to 11-4-2 on the season (29-8-3 career | 10th career shutout).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 6-1-0 all-time against Western New England.
  • The Gulls are 8-4-2 at home this season.
  • Western New England finished the 2022-23 campaign with a program record 15 wins.
  • Goodman registered her first career game-winner.

No. 2 Endicott (17-7-2) travels to No. 1 Suffolk on Saturday, March 4 with puck drop of the CCC Championship scheduled for 4:50 PM.

Western New England sees its 2022-23 season come to a close at 15-8-3 overall.
