Women’s Ice Hockey Doubles Up Salve Regina, 4-2

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Salve Regina, 4-2, on Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.), Emmerson Hayes (Los Angeles, Calif.), Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.), and Payton Hansen (Spring City, Pa.) all found the back of the net in the victory. 

Endicott trailed 1-0 and 2-1 before Hayes (11:28), Fantasia (17:47), and Hansen (PP — 19:57) scored in consecutive order to put the game away.

In goal, Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) stopped eight shots in the victory (4-3-0). 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls remain undefeated in the all-time series against the Seahawks, 15-0-2.
  • Fantasia ranks second on the team with 11 points, while Hayes and Keith are tied for third with 10 goals apiece. 
  • Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass) recorded her first point of the season with an assist on Keith's second period goal at 11:32, which evened up the contest at 1-1. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (9-6-2, 7-3-0 CCC) travels to Salve Regina (6-10-0, 1-9-0 CCC) on Saturday, January 21 at 7:30 PM.
