Healy's Clutch Goal Pushes Women's Ice Hockey Past UNE, 2-1 (OT)

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Quin Healy (Melrose, Mass.) buried a tally at the 1:03 mark of overtime to propel the Endicott women's ice hockey team past the University of New England (UNE), 2-1, on Friday night at the Harold Alfond Forum.  

Prior to the eventual game-winner, Jess Michals (Westwood, Mass.) found the back of the net (5:47 | P2) to tie the game, 1-1 following a late first period goal from the Nor'easters (16:29).

Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) registered 12 saves for the Gulls to improve to 6-3-0 on the season. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 12-3-0 all-time against the Nor'easters.
  • Healy recorded the sixth game-winning goal of her collegiate career. 
  • Michals notched her first score of the 2022-23 campaign.  
  • Endicott improved to 8-3-0 away from The Nest.
  • Tonight's game marked Gulls' head coach Andrew McPhee's 400th career game (236-133-31, .629).

Endicott (13-7-2, 11-4-0 CCC) hosts Suffolk on Saturday, February 11 at 3 PM. UNE (7-12-3 6-7-2 CCC) travels to Nichols on Saturday, February 11 at 4:40 PM.
