No. 13 Women’s Ice Hockey Ties Wesleyan In OT, 1-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 13 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team skated to a 1-1 overtime tie against Wesleyan (Conn.) on Saturday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

With only 6:51 remaining in regulation, Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass) found the back of the net to even up the score and force the eventual extra session.

From there, both teams dug in defensively to conclude the 1-1 stalemate. 

Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) turned away 25 shots (3-2-1) in goal for the Gulls.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 3-0-2 all-time against Wesleyan.
  • Fantasia potted her fourth goal of the 2022-23 campaign. 
  • O'Brien has stopped 25 or more shots three times this season.
