MIDDLETOWN, R.I. — The Endicott women's ice hockey team fell to Salve Regina, 3-2, in overtime on Saturday night in conference action at the St. George's School Ice Rink.
Endicott held a 2-1 lead headed into the third period behind a pair of second period goals from Cammi Ahern (Oswego, N.Y.) and Makenzie Villiard (Fenton, Mich.).
From there, Salve Regina found the equalizer at the 8:48 mark of the third and capitalized on a power play 30-seconds into overtime to secure the win.
In goal, Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) made 24 saves in the loss (5-4-2).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Ahern buried her first collegiate goal.
- Salve Regina earned its third home win of the season.
- The Gulls are 15-1-2 all-time against the Seahawks.
