Endicott improves conference standing with 8-1 win at Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott men’s tennis team improved to 4-2 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play after their 8-1 victory over Gordon on Thursday evening.  The Gulls took all three doubles matches before claiming wins in five out of six singles contests.

Endicott (8-9, 4-2 CCC) will next face off against league rival Curry on Saturday, April 21st at 12:00 pm in Milton.  Gordon dropped to 1-14 overall and 0-6 in the conference. 

Top singles player Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) improved to 4-2 in \#1 singles matches against conference opponents with his 6-3, 6-4 win while moving to 4-1 with teammate Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) in \#1 doubles after an impressive 8-2 win. 

Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) is now 3-1 overall in \#3 singles after his straight set victory while freshman Justin Warshavsky (East Hartford, Conn.) and sophomore Andrew Zurheide (New London, N.H.) rounded out Endicott’s singles victories without dropping a set.

In \#2 doubles, junior Benjamin Randlett (Middlebury, Vt.) joined freshman Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) for an 8-1 victory.  Mike Lauretano (Winchester, Mass.) and Porter Williams (Raleigh, N.C.) remained unbeaten as a duo at 3-0 with their 8-5 triumph.
