HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Endicott
men’s tennis team will return to Beverly with a 2-6 record
heading into the core of their spring schedule following an 8-1
defeat at the hands of Missouri Valley in their final match down in
South Carolina.
The \#3 doubles duo of freshmen Eric Gandrup (Sudbury,
Mass.) and Michael Lauretano (Winchester,
Mass.) earned Endicott’s only point of the match as
the Gulls were swept in all six singles contests and the top two
doubles matches.
Gandrup and Lauretano won 8-5 over their Vikings opponents.
Both players finished 2-2 on the week in doubles play, one victory
coming today and the other coming in Endicott’s 9-0 shutout
of Edgewood on Monday.
The Gulls return to action on Monday with a road, non-conference
match against Colby-Sawyer at 4:00 pm in Hanover, N.H.
