Braman, Farrin, Lemay Sweep CCC Weekly Awards

CCC FIELD HOCKEY WEEKLY AWARDS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott field hockey student-athletes Blake Braman (Clinton, Conn.), Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.), and Rachael Lemay (Westminster, Mass.) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, and Rookie of the Week respectively, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Braman was the unsung hero of the Championship game for Endicott. She tracked up and down the field solidifying the defense and powering the offense forward. She recorded three points in the tournament, a goal in the Gulls' 3-2 win over the No. 2 seed the University of New England in the championship game, and an assist in Endicott's 4-0 win over Roger Williams in the semifinals.

Farrin played all 120 minutes in the cage during the Gulls CCC Championship run. She opened the tournament with a four save shutout against No. 4 Roger Williams, then made seven stops in the win over UNE. Farrin had an 1.00 goals-against average and an .846 save percentage in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Lemay was a defensive force for Endicott during its championship run as she helped the Gulls earn the conference title. Lemay was a part of a defense that shutout No. 4 seed Roger Williams in the semifinal and held off a strong University of New England offense in the championship.
