Field Hockey Takes Down UNE, 2-1 (OT)

BIDDEFORD, MAINE — With just over six minutes left in the first overtime session, Endicott senior forward Kristen McCarthy (Danvers, Mass.) found the end of a Jaylin Grabau (Lynnfield, Mass) pass from the left side of the circle and one-timed it home at the 63:07 mark to give the Gulls a 2-1 win over the University of New England (UNE).

Prior to the game-winner, Addi Williams (Pittsfield, Maine) gave Endicott a 1-0 lead midway through the third quarter (35:12), but the lead didn't last long as just over eight minutes later UNE tied the contest at 1-1 at 44:02.

Both teams then had several scoring chances throughout the fourth quarter, but neither could find the back of the cage, eventually sending the game to overtime.
