BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team heads to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship game after defeating Salve Regina in the semifinal round. The Gulls will face No. 1 seed the University of New England on Saturday afternoon in Biddeford, Maine.

THE MATCHUP: The Gulls currently have an overall record of 17-3 and finished with an 11-1 record in conference play. They will travel to No. 1 seed UNE on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. on. The two teams have met twice so far this season. The first meeting resulted in a 2-1 overtime win for the Gulls, while the Nor'easters took the second meeting by a score of 2-1 during a penalty shootout.
POSTSEASON HISTORY: This is the 19th straight season that Endicott has qualified for the conference tournament. Head coach Jodi Cipolla looks to lead her squad to its third CCC championship in program history.
NO. 2 ENDICOTT (17-3, 11-1 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE
The Gulls come into the CCC championship after defeating Salve Regina, 5-1, in the CCC semifinals. Leading Endicott offensively is Sophia Cogliano (Saugus, Mass.) with a team-high 25 goals and 54 points. Freshman Jaylin Grabau (Lynnfield, Mass.) has contributed 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points. Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) has a record of 16-3 on the season with a save percentage of .827.
NO. 1 UNE (16-4, 11-1 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE
The Nor'easters recorded a 2-1 overtime victory over Western New England to advance to the CCC championship game. Vonde Saunders (Center Conway, N.H.) leads the team offensively with 15 goals and seven assists for 37 points on the season. Netminder Liz Sargent (South Burlington, Vt.) has played in every game for UNE and has a save percentage of .809 and eight shutouts.
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner of the contest will earn the CCC championship title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III field hockey tournament.
