BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott field hockey saw three student-athletes earn Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Athlete of the Week honors for the second week in a row, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Sophia Cogliano (Saugus, Mass.) was named Offensive Player of the Week for her five-goal effort during the week. She netted both of Endicott's goals in a 2-0 victory over No. 2 nationally ranked Babson on September 26. She then tallied two goals during the Gulls' 5-1 win on September 28 against Roger Williams. Cogliano rounded out the week by scoring the game-winner in double overtime versus Western New England on September 30.
Senior defender Emylee Wood (Kensington, N.H.) earned Defensive Player of the Week. She anchored a back line that went 3-0 on the week and was a key reason why Babson landed only six shots on goal in 19 attempts and 11 corner opportunities. Wood also assisted on both of the Endicott goals against the Beavers.
Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) earned Rookie of the Week honors after recording three wins in net for the Gulls and improving her overall season record to 9-2. The freshman goaltender recorded a total of 21 saves throughout the week and also earned her second shutout of the season during the 2-0 victory over Babson.
