BEVERLY, Mass. – Two Endicott field hockey student-athletes were awarded Synapse Sports Division III Player of the Week honors for their efforts in leading the Gulls to three wins during the week of September 25.
Sophia Cogliano (Saugus, Mass.) was named Offensive Player of the Week as she scored five goals on the week. She started by netting both of Endicott's goals during a 2-0 victory over No. 2 nationally ranked Babson on September 26.
Cogliano then went on to tally two goals against Roger Williams on September 28, before finishing out the week by scoring the game-winner in double overtime against Western New England on September 30. She was also named CCC Offensive Player of the Week and the Longstreth/NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week.
Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) was named Rookie of the Week as she went 3-0 in net for the Gulls. She recorded her second shutout of the season against No. 2 Babson and made a total of 21 saves throughout the week. Farrin also earned CCC Rookie of the Week and was an honorable mention for the Longstreth/NFHCA Player of the Week award.
