Emylee Wood passes the ball.

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team recorded a 6-2 win over Gordon on Tuesday night on North Field.

The Gulls got on the board first at the 20:31 mark when Olivia Larson (Cheshire, Conn.) crossed the ball in front of the net from the sideline and Emylee Wood (Kensington, N.H.) swept the ball in.

Emily Hirtle (Rowley, Mass.) made the score 2-0 just over three minutes later on a scramble in front of the net.

At 27:04, Brittany Bushey (Pittsford, Vt.) ran into the circle and sent a cross to Jaylin Grabau (Lynnfield, Mass.), who was waiting to send the ball past the Gordon goaltender.

Bushey then added a goal of her own on a pass from Emily Graham (Westford, Mass.) at 32:46 to close out the first half.

Endicott got the scoring started in the second frame as well. Sophia Cogliano (Saugus, Mass.) netted her 21st goal of the season with help from Madi Wood (Bristol, Vt.) at the 53:24 mark.

Just under four minutes later, E. Wood deflected a shot from Samantha Crowley (Leicester, Mass.) to increase the Gull's lead to 6-0.

However, Gordon responded in the last ten minutes of the game with two goals from Natalie Adamez (Westminster, Md.) to cut the deficit to 6-2.
