Endicott Ranked Third In First Grinold Chapter New England Division III Football Weekly Rankings

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott football program (2-1) has been ranked third overall in the first installment of the Grinold Chapter New England Division III football weekly rankings for the 2019 season, as announced by the organization earlier today.

WPI sits atop the poll with 137 points, which includes nine first place votes (FPV), while Western Connecticut (97, 2 FPV), Endicott (82, 1 FPV), Western New England (78, 2 FPV), and Middlebury (77) rounded out the rest of the top-5.

Meanwhile, the remaining five teams in the weekly rankings in respective order included UMass Dartmouth (75), Norwich (74), Amherst (73), Plymouth State (46), and Wesleyan (46, 1 FPV).

The New England Division III Football Poll is presented by the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation, which also serves as the title sponsor of the weekly Gold Helmet Awards presented by the New England Football Writers Association throughout the season.

NOTES

  • Endicott is receiving four votes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches' Poll.
  • Last year, the Gulls finished 10th overall in the final Grinold Chapter New England Division III football weekly rankings.
