Women’s Track & Field Earns Runner-Up Honors At CCC Championship

WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott women's track and field team placed a program-best second overall at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on Saturday evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex, hosted by Gordon College.

The host Fighting Scots captured their first conference title in program history since the CCC granted the sport championship status in 2018 with 126.50 points.

Endicott ranked second with 116.50 points, while Suffolk (113), the University of New England (102), Roger Williams (69), Salve Regina (59), and Nichols (1) followed in respective order.

The Gulls' second place finish is the highest ranking in the five-year history of the program. Endicott accomplished the feat behind four first place finishes, two runner-up performances, and four third place honors alongside four school records.

Student-athletes who place first (gold medalist), second (silver medalist), or third (bronze medalist) in an event earn All-Conference First Team, Second Team, and Third Team honors.

Additionally, the seven CCC head coaches will vote on major postseason awards next week. Following the voting period, the conference will recognize a Runner of the Year, Rookie Runner of the Year, Field Performer of the Year, Field Rookie of the Year, and a CCC Scholar-Athlete. Coaches will also vote on winners for Coach of the Year and Team Sportsmanship.
