D’Angelo, Esmay Headline CCC Weekly Award Winners

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Four members of the Endicott women's track and field team received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) was named the CCC Field Athlete of the Week, while Ava Esmay (Underhill, Vt.) earned CCC Track Rookie of the Week accolades.

The duo also joined Sarah Aylwin (Topsfield, Mass.) and Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.) as members of the conference's Relay Team of the Week.

Last Saturday at the Wesleyan Invitational, D'Angelo placed second overall in the shot put. Her throw covered a distance of 11.29m (37'0.5"), just 0.11m short of the top spot and good for 61st on the NCAA Division III Outdoor Qualifying List.

Meanwhile, Esmay finished sixth overall in the 100-meter hurdles, placing sixth with a time of 17.56 (sixth overall on the all-time performance list).

D'Angelo, Esmay, Aylwin, and Dickens also finished fifth overall in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 52.61-seconds. The time was strong enough for third on the Gulls' all-time performance list.
