Women’s Track & Field Competes At BU Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. — Seven members of the Endicott women's track and field team competed at the Boston University (BU) David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday afternoon in preparation for the 2022 outdoor season. Today's meet featured student-athletes from all three NCAA Divisions.

Bianca Del Maestro (Malden, Mass.) and Jordan Williams (Boxford, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts on the day with school record performances in the 60-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash, respectively.

Del Maestro crossed the finish line in 9.84-seconds, smashing her previous school record time of 10.27, which she set on 2/22/2020 at the Bowdoin Invitational.

Overall in the event, Del Maestro finished 20th out of 39 student-athletes, besting 12 competitors representing NCAA Division I and II schools in the process.

Meanwhile, Williams sprinted to a time of 27.53-seconds, topping her own school record of 27.68 set at the 2020 BU Valentine Invitational. Williams ranked 185th out of 228 competitors in the event.

OTHER ENDICOTT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sarah Aylwin (Topsfield, Mass.) and Ava Esmay (Underhill, Vt.) made their collegiate debuts in the 60-meter dash (48th, 9.08 | 44th, 8.61).
  • Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.) posted a time of 10.50-seconds in the 60-meter hurdles (32nd overall).
  • Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) clocked a time of 28.09 in the 200m (204th, collegiate debut).
  • Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) notched a time of 28.98 in the 200m (222nd overall).
  • On December 4, D'Angelo qualified for NCAA Division III New England Regionals in the shot put with a toss of 39-feet and 0.25-inches in the shot put at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Invitational.

Endicott will compete in the Wheaton (Mass.) Invitational on Saturday, February 19.
