Women’s Track Finishes Fourth At Monks’ Invitational

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's track and field team placed fourth overall out of 14 teams at the Monks' Invitational on Saturday evening, hosted by Saint Joseph's (Me.).

Bates finished first overall with 285 points, while Husson (89.50), Thomas (66), Endicott (62), and the University of New England (54) rounded out the top-5 in respective order.

The Gulls produced their fourth place performance behind eight personal bests and one school record.

Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.) highlighted the squad with an impressive double in the 800-meters (6th overall, 2:35.20, school record) and 1,500-meters (10th overall, 5:19.79, personal record).

Her time in the 800m was nearly three full seconds ahead of Amanda Recupero's '21 (Ipswich, Mass.) old mark of 2:38.11 set on April 5, 2019.

Taylor Moynihan (Hingham, Mass.) also shined for the Blue and Green behind PRs in the discus (10th, 98-3) and javelin (16th, 61-4).

OTHER ENDICOTT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sarah Aylwin (Topsfield, Mass.), Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine), Ava Esmay (Underhill, Vt.), and Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.) combined for a second place finish in the 4x100-meter relay (52.28).
  • Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) was third in the 400-meter run (1:02.64) and eighth in the 200-meter dash (28.37).
  • Dickens and Kelsey Hunter (Simi Valley, Calif.) went fourth (32-10.25) and eighth (30-3) in the triple jump.
  • Kate Sullivan (Northampton, Mass.) and Alexa Flewewlling (Peabody, Mass.) came in second (4-9.75) and fourth (4-7.75) in the high jump.
  • Aylwin and Dickens both placed inside the top-5 in the long jump (5th, 15-9.75 | 7th, 15-8.25) and pole vault (4th, 8-2.50 | 7th, 6-2.75), respectively.
  • Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.) crossed the finish line in fourth place in the 5,000-meter run (20:45.18).
  • Gabrielle Page (Londonderry, N.H.) and Emma Johnson (Reading, Mass.) both PR-ed in the 1,500-meter run with times of 5:43.45 and 6:09.58.
  • In the 800-meter run, Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.), Catherine Schultz (North Kingstown, R.I.), and Ella Aldrich (Winchester, Mass.) all turned in personal best times of 2:39.08 (9th), 2:41.49 (11th), and 2:41.78 (12th).
  • Aylwin ranked sixth in the 100-meter hurdles via a time of 17.37-seconds.
  • Kira Charrier (Dartmouth, Mass.) placed seventh in the 400-meter run (1:06.44).
  • Gates MacPherson (Thorold, Ontario) notched a fifth place mark in the shot put (30-10.50) and an 11th place performance in the discus (97-11).

Endicott will compete in the Sean Collier Invitational, hosted by MIT, on Saturday, April 23.
