Women’s Track & Field Shines At Wheaton Pre-Post Invitational

NORTON, Mass. – The Endicott women's track and field team set seven school records and produced six top-5 finishes on Saturday evening in the Wheaton Pre-Post Invitational at Beard Field House.

Endicott's school record performances came in the distance medley relay (DMR), 800-meter dash, pole vault, 4x400-meter relay, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.

Individually, Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) highlighted the Gulls with a first place performance in the shot put (37-feet, 6.50-inches, 19 competitors) and a third place school record showing in the pole vault (8-feet, 0.50-inches).

"Today was a great chance for the team to be out on the track together and see how training has been going over the last month, said Endicott women's track and field head coach Spencer Lange. "It was really encouraging to see their confidence grow and get some valuable experience in preparation for outdoor. I'm excited about this group and what they can put together this year. I think they have a lot of heart and want to elevate each other."

OTHER ENDICOTT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.), Jordan Williams (Boxford, Mass.), and Kira Charrier (Dartmouth, Mass.) placed second in the 4x400-meter relay in a school record time of 4:27.89 (previous record 4:35.89).
  • Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.) placed third in the triple jump with a school record mark of 33-feet and 9.50-inches (previous record 29-6.75) and seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (10.32, 9.93 in prelims).
  • Sarah Aylwin (Topsfield, Mass.) and Kate Sullivan (Northampton, Mass.) notched school records in the long jump (15-feet 6-inches, 4th overall) and the high jump (4-feet 9.75-inches, 9th), respectively.
  • am Ende also ranked 14th overall in the 800-meter run with a school record time of 2:39.80.
  • Endicott's DMR consisting of Cassandra Cosma (Center Moriches, N.Y.), Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.), am Ende, and Julia Clark (Tolland, Conn.) placed first in a school record time of 14:48.85.
  • Risko wasn't too far behind am Ende in the 800-meter dash as the freshman clocked a time of 2:40.57 to place 16th overall.
  • Rischitelli was the top finisher for the Gulls in the 200-meter dash (14th overall, 28.58).
  • Charrier headlined the 400-meter crew with a 13th place finish (1:08.34).
  • Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.) ranked 21st overall in the one mile run (6:13.83).
  • Aylwin rounded out the list of highlights with a 15th place showing in the 60-meter dash (8.50).

Endicott will compete in the NCAA Division III New England on February 25-26.
