Gulls Finish Program Best Ninth Overall At Snowflake Classic

SOMERVILLE, Mass. – The Endicott women's track and field team placed ninth overall at the Snowflake Classic, hosted by Tufts University, on Saturday evening at the Ellis Oval.

Endicott's ninth place finish (out of 18 teams) and 25 points scored at the Snowflake Classic are both program bests for the young program at the invitational.

Bianca Del Maestro (Malden, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls with two individual top-10 performances in the 100-meter hurdles (4th overall, 16.35, 3rd on Endicott performance list) and the high jump (6th, 4-9.75).

Meanwhile, Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) placed second in the shot put with a school record (outdoors) and New England Championships qualifying toss of 39-feet and 3.75-inches. D'Angelo bested her own mark by more than two inches (39-1, 5/2/21).

She also aided the 4x100-meter relay team to a seventh place finish (53.25), alongside teammates Sarah Aylwin (Topsfield, Mass.), Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.), and Ava Esmay (Underhill, Vt.), and posted a personal record (PR) performance in the discus (11th, 94-09).

Endicott's other individual top-10 finishes included Gates MacPherson (Thorold, Ontario) in the discus (6th, 107-01), Dickens in the triple jump (10th, 32-6.50), and Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) in the 400-meter dash (10th, 1:02.36, school record is 1:02.11).

Riley also joined Kira Charrier (Dartmouth, Mass.), Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), and Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.) on the 10th place 4x400-meter relay team (4:26.21).

OTHER ENDICOTT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.) posted an impressive PR in the 5,000-meter run (20:32.72, 8th on performance list).
  • Taylor Moynihan (Hingham, Mass.) notched a PR in the javelin with a heave of 75-feet and 11-inches.
  • The Gulls' 1,500-meter crew of Risko, Julia Clark (Tolland, Conn.), Cate Herndon (Westwood, Mass.), Emma Johnson (Reading, Mass.), and Gabrielle Page (Londonderry, N.H.) all logged personal bests with times of 5:32.14, 6:09.66, 6:14.22, 6:14.84, and 5:58.70, respectively.
  • Kaylee Carver (Abington, Mass.) and Rischitelli rounded out the list of highlights in the 200-meter dash with personal best times of 28.78 and 27.79.

Endicott will compete in the Gordon Invitational on Saturday, April 9.
