2019 NEWISA SENIOR BOWL DIII SELECTIONS

BEVERLY, Mass. - Following a senior campaign in which they helped to guide the Gulls back to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title match, Endicott women's soccer seniors Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) Brianna Knight (Andover, Mass.) and Hannah Pesci (Windham, N.H.) have been selected for the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl. The match will be held at Merrimack College on Saturday, December 7, at noon.

Throughout their four-year careers, the trio led Endicott to a 45-21-10 (.658) record overall, which included a 25-6-3 (.779) record against conference opponents. Over that stretch, the women made three appearances in the CCC semifinals before falling in the title game in 2019. The three Senior Bowl selections were the most for the Gulls since the 2015 season when Endicott again saw three student-athletes get selected.

Cade's selection comes on the heels of a senior senior season in which she finished with four goals and one assist for nine points total. Her four goals tied her for second on the roster, while her nine points were good for fourth. It was the third time in her career that she finished with four goals, as she did so in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. Cade finished her career with 13 goals and 10 assists for 36 points, while she started in 48 of the 62 matches in which she played. 

For Knight, she was recognized for her strong play as she helped lead a defensive unit that allowed just 1.15 goals/game in 2019. The Gulls held opponents to a .090 shot percentage, as Endicott limited opponents to 23 goals in 20 matches. Knight started all 14 matches in which she played in 2019, one year after starting all 18 matches in which she played in 2018 as a junior. Over her two years as a starter, Endicott's back line held opponents to 36 goals in 38 matches.

Pesci earned the selection as a midfielder, following a year in which she posted four goals and a career-best three assists for a total of 11 points. Her four goals tied her for second on the team, while her three assists tied her for third. The Windham, N.H. native's 11 points were also good for third on the team. Over her four years, Pesci scored 18 goals and assisted on nine others for a total of 45 points. The midfielder scored four goals in each of the last three seasons as she closed her career having started in 62 of the 65 matches in which she played.
