MILTON, MA--Despite tough efforts by Curry College, Endicott defeated the Colonels 2-1 on Saturday to remain undefeated in the CCC conference. The Gulls are now 11-0 in the conference (11-2-1 overall).
The Colonels were the first to score off a cross late in the first half to gain a 1-0 lead over Endicott. The Gulls answered back five minutes later as Caitlin D'Amario (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) netted a goal from the corner. Margreta Weber (Bedford, NH/Manchester West) showed strong play in the midfield, along with sweeper Staci Wiencko (Pembroke, MA/Notre Dame Acad), who scored the Gulls' winning goal off a header from Erica Hunt's cross (Colchester, VT/Colchester) in the second half.
The Gulls will host Bates College on Sunday for their Senior Day, and will play their last regular season conference match vs. Salve Regina on Wednesday.
