Women's lacrosse meets No. 13 Tufts in NCAAs
The Endicott women’s lacrosse team, fresh off a 10-4 victory over top-seeded Western New England in the The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Championship, stands at 14-6 overall and is making its sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance. 

Led by junior captain Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) and sophomore attack Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.), the Gulls have one of the region’s most powerful offensives. Endicott currently ranks third in New England and 12th nationally in points (409) and is 22nd in the country in scoring offense at 15.0 goals per game. DeShaw is inside the top-50 nationally in points with 83 while Davis follows closely behind with 73. 

Defensively, junior Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) has started every game in net and boasts a goals against average of 10.39. Neff has made 143 saves on the season and came up huge in the TCCC Championship with 13 against the Golden Bears. 

No. 13 Tufts received an at-large bid after falling to No. 1 Trinity in the semifinals of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Tournament. The Jumbos are making their second NCAA Tournament appearance in three years and are currently 11-6 overall.

Junior attack Lara Kozin (Suffern, N.Y.) leads the offense with 79 points (35 G, 44 A) while classmate Casey Egan (Massapequa, N.Y.) is second on the team with 57. Kozin is 15th in the nation and second in New England in assists and ranks 49th nationally in points. The Jumbos are seventh in New England in total points (350) and 68th nationally in scoring offense (13.12 goals per game).

Senior goalkeeper Sara Bloom (Summit, N.J.) has played in all 17 games this season and recorded 83 saves. 

Earlier this season, then-No. 13 Tufts rallied in the second half to defeat visiting Endicott 19-10 in Medford. Egan led all scorers with five goals while Davis and DeShaw each netted three for the Gulls.

Wednesday’s opening round matchup will begin at 7:00 pm.
