Beverly, Mass. –
Eleven different players tallied goals including four from leading scorer Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) as the Endicott women’s lacrosse team cruised past visiting New England College, 20-6, in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) matchup at Endicott Stadium. Five others scored multiple goals in the win, the Gulls seventh straight.

Amanda Naime (York, Maine) paced NEC with a pair of goals while four others scored for the visitors.
Endicott (9-3, 8-0 TCCC) quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening two minutes and never looked back. Sophomore Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) opened the scoring 35 seconds in before DeShaw and Brooke Neuman (Stamford, Conn.) connected within 30 seconds of each other to make it 3-0.

The Gulls scored three more to double the lead less than six minutes into the first half thanks to tallies from Kellie Cunningham (Derry, N.H.), Kelly Tierney (South Hadley, Mass.), and Lauren Todd (Newfields, N.H.).

Emily Kuchta (Norwalk, Conn.) found Sam Aucoin (Henniker, N.H.) at 22:37 to put the Pilgrims on the board and stop the run. The hosts responded with five straight from five different scorers to regain momentum.

Naime connected with 6:29 to go in the half to make it 11-2 before DeShaw capped the scoring with two unanswered to give the Gulls a 13-2 halftime lead.

Endicott outscored NEC 7-4 over the final 30 minutes en route to the big win. All seven of the goals came from different scorers including freshman Kelsey Barnes’ (Brookside, N.J.) first collegiate goal with just over ten minutes to play.

Classmate Kylie Ross (Cumberland, Maine) capped the scoring with a goal from the free position at the 2:10 mark.

Cunnningham led all players with six ground balls and six caused turnovers while Todd caused a pair of turnovers and chipped in three ground balls.

Junior Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) picked up the win in net despite playing just under 19 minutes. Freshman Rachel Socolow (Westford, Mass.) made four saves in a season-high 41 minutes of action.

Caroline Doherty (Miller Place, N.Y.) went the distance in the cage for the Pilgrims and made seven stops.

Next up for Endicott is a non-conference game at Tufts on Thursday, April 14. New England College returns to action on Tuesday evening for a TCCC matchup at Nichols.
