Women's lacrosse trio earn conference honors after strong week
Springfield, Mass. – Three members of the conference-champion Endicott women’s lacrosse team were recognized by The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) for their effort’s in helping the Blue and Green secure its sixth straight title. 

Sophomore midfielder Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) was clutch in the Gulls’ 10-4 triumph over top-seeded Western New England in the TCCC Women’s Lacrosse Championship game on Saturday, posting seven points, with six goals and an assist, while collecting two draw controls, a turnover and a ground ball. In the 13-12 semifinal victory over Curry, she drilled three goals into the back of the net, including the game-winning goal with seven seconds left in regulation to advance the Gulls to the championship game. On the week she tallied nine goals and two assists for a total of 11 points, while picking up five draw controls, a pair of caused turnovers, and a ground ball.

Junior goalkeeper Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) anchored the Gulls’ defense in a 10-4 TCCC Championship victory over top seeded Western New England. Neff posted a goals against average of 8.00, saving 59% of shots faced. Neff was three saves away from her season-high in the win over Western New England College.

Freshman midfielder Rachel Campos(Shrewsbury, Mass.) helped the Gulls to a 10-4 TCCC Championship win over Western New England with a goal, three ground balls, three draw controls, and a caused turnover. The goal was the second of her career, and the three ground balls were a career-high.

Endicott will play host to Tufts on Wednesday at 7:00 pm for the opening round of the 2011 NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
