Beverly, Mass. – Kellie Cunningham (Derry, N.H.) and Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) each tallied five points as the Endicott women’s lacrosse team defeated Nichols, 23-4, for the 11th straight time.

The Gulls put their 36-game The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) win streak on the line Saturday afternoon against the visiting Bison – a team they have never lost to. The win extends the streak and moves Endicott to 4-3 on the year (4-0 TCCC). Nichols drops to 1-2, 1-2.

Deshaw opened the scoring just 19 seconds in to give the hosts, who led start to finish, an early lead. Sophomore midfield Lauren Todd (Newfields, N.H.) doubled the lead two minutes later on an assist from Carin Czerniawski (Monroe, Conn.).

Cunningham connected twice in a span of 50 seconds before DeShaw’s unassisted goal at 22:17 made it 5-0.

Junior attack Krista-Jean Forand (Plymouth, Mass.), who led Nichols with three goals and one assist, scored two straight to keep the visitors within striking distance. Czerniawski, senior attack Molly Sowles (Yarmouth, Maine), and sophomore attack Kelly Tierney (South Hadley, Mass.) each scored goals one minute apart as the Gulls built an 8-2 lead.

Sophomore midfield Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) put her name in the scoring column with an unassisted goal with just under nine minutes to play in the half that made it 9-2. Davis led all players with six draw controls.

DeShaw’s final two goals of the half capped a 5-0 run and closed out the first 30 minutes of play for the Blue and Green.

Endicott continued the run with ten unanswered goals coming out of the break. Junior midfield Michelle Loizzo (Longmeadow, Mass.) scored twice during that time before Nichols’ Emily Yourie (Ellington, Conn.) stopped the run with her first of the day at 5:02.

Freshman Callie Murphy (Woburn, Mass.) and Kylie Ross (Cumberland, R.I.) sandwiched Forand’s third goal of the day to complete the scoring.

DeShaw finished with four goals and one assist to move her season total to a team-high 23 points. Cunningham filled up the stat sheet with three goals, two assists, two ground balls, two draw controls, and three caused turnovers.

Junior goalie Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) made two saves in the win while Jennifer Brigham (Bristol, R.I.) made nine saves in the loss.

The Gulls are set to host Colby-Sawyer on Tuesday (March 29) at 4 pm while the Bison travel to Gordon on the same day at 7 pm.
