Wenham, Mass. –
The Endicott women’s lacrosse team went back-and-forth for much of the first half with their TCCC opponent Gordon College, but the Gulls outscored the Scots 9-3 in the second half and went on to win 17-10 on Saturday afternoon.

Endicott (10-4, 9-0 TCCC) remained undefeated in conference play following the win over Gordon (9-6, 7-3 TCCC).

Kellie Cunningham (Derry, N.H.), Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.), and Michelle Loizzo (Longmeadow, Mass.) each scored four times for the Blue and Green while leading scorer Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) found the back of the net three times in the win. Molly Sowles (Yarmouth, Maine) added a goal and two assists.

Junior goalie Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) was solid in the cage, making nine saves as she improved to 10-4 on the season. Davis led all players with nine draw controls while Brittany Kane (Scarborough, Maine) had a game-high six groundballs. Kane also had two caused turnovers.

For Gordon, Jordan Alexander (Portland, Maine) led her squad with three goals and two assists while both Anna Blomberg (Simbury, Conn.) and Kari Christensen (Standish, Maine) each chipped in with two goals apiece.

Scots keeper Danielle Maguire (Braintree, Mass.) made 13 of her 14 saves in the first half of the loss.
Gordon came out strong at the start of the game, scoring two goals in-a-row to take the early lead. Alexander assisted on both goals that were scored by Blomberg and Christensen, respectively.

Endicott, however, responded with back-to-back goals of their own, both by Davis, to tie up the game. After Gordon took a 3-2 lead at the 19:50 mark in the first half, Endicott rolled off three straight goals to take the lead for good. Loizzo scored the first two and DeShaw added the third of that stretch run.

The Gulls will be back in action on Tuesday, April 19th at 4:00 pm for a road game against Roger Williams in TCCC action.
