No. 12 Women’s Ice Hockey Stifles UNE, 5-0

BIDDEFORD, Maine — The No. 12 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated the University of New England (UNE), 5-0, on Friday night at the Harold Alfond Forum.

Jo Wimler (Portland, Conn.), Lindsay Goodman (Newmarket, N.H.), Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.), Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.), and Lily Anderson (St. Paul, Minn.) all scored in the victory. 

Wimler struck first for the Gulls in the opening period (13:58), while Goodman (5:49), Morris (11:48), and Hall (13:51, PP) buried tallies in the middle frame. Anderson capped the scoring at 11:49 of the third.

In goal, Lauren Ferrari (Bridgewater, N.J.) stopped 10 shots for her second career shutout (5-1-0 overall).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 16-3-0 all-time against UNE (winners of six straight; 7-1-0 on road).
  • The Gulls are 6-2-0 away from Beverly this season.
  • Junior defenseman Abbey Agrodnia (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) dished out two assists on the night (second career multi-point game).
