BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 15 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Wesleyan, 4-2, on Tuesday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
Endicott erased an early 1-0 deficit (6:32) behind three straight goals in the first period for the eventual non-conference victory.
Maggie Holt (Cumberland Foreside, Maine) evened up the contest at 9:06, while Avari Maxwell (Wrentham, Mass.) and Cammi Ahern (Oswego, N.Y.) potted tallies at 16:12 and 19:29 (PP) to account for the three-goal spurt.
From there, Wesleyan made it 3-2 at 16:28 of the second, but Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) responded for the Gulls moments later (17:57, PP) to recapture all momentum in the contest.
Fantasia finished her night with a goal and an assist to move into fifth place all-time on the career points leaderboard (35g-35a--70p; surpassed Michaela McNamara, 21g-48a--69p).
In goal, Celia Dahl (Orono, Minn.) stopped 15 shots for her second win of the season (3-0-1 all-time, fourth career start).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 5-0-2 all-time against Wesleyan.
- The Gulls are 2-0-2 at home versus the Cardinals in the series.
- Wesleyan is 1-5-0 on the road this season (EC 6-1-0 at home).
