Endicott extended their winning streak to eleven tonight with a 75-44 victory over Anna Maria in Paxton, MA. Four players scored in double digits, led by Jodi Brown with 14 points. The Gulls shot a season high 48% from the field and dished out 27 assists, tying the long-standing school record for assists in a game set in 1997-98, as they rolled to victory.
Lisa Chartier broke a 7-7 tie with a 2-pointer, 5 minutes into the game, starting a 16-4 run and giving EC the lead for good. The Gulls extended the lead to 38-20 at the half behind the solid play of Chartier (13 points, 8 rebounds) and Carly Haynes (13 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists).
Endicott came out on an 18-6 run in the first seven minutes of the second half to put the game away. The Gulls shot 56% in the second half and held the Amcats to 27% shooting for the game as every Gull played. Jodi Brown (14 points, 6 assists) and Holly Beth Wojcik (10 points, 5 rebounds) led EC in the half with limited playing time. Rookie Aubrey Drugan added 7 points, 6 assists and a team high 4 steals.
Kelly Downey (16 points, 9 rebounds) and Tina Oliveri (11 points, 6 rebounds) led Anna Maria whose record drops to 3-17 overall, 0-13 in the CCC.
The Gulls record improves to 14-7 overall, 12-1 in the CCC. Endicott travels to Curry College in Milton, MA on Saturday for a 1:00 game.
