Endicott rallied to a 66-30 victory over Eastern Nazarene College tonight holding onto their undefeated record at home. The win marks the 10th consecutive for the Gulls, who forced ENC into 26 turnovers. Jodi Brown led the Gulls on defense with 6 steals, while Liz Yuneman and Aubrey Drugan led the Gulls offense with 13 and 12 points respectively.
EC took an 18-2 lead early on and held Eastern Nazarene to just 8 first half points. The Gulls offense was not much more impressive as they shot just 28% from the field for the half, taking a 28-8 lead at the break. Lisa Chartier (7 points, 6 rebounds) and Liz Yuneman (13 points, 6 rebounds) led the Gull's offensive effort in the first half.
Eastern Nazarene cut the lead to 15 points, 37-22, in the beginning of the second half, but that is as close as they would come. For the remaining 15 minutes the Gulls held the Crusaders to just 3 field goals, while improving their own field goal shooting to 43%. Led by Aubrey Drugan (12 points, 5 assists), Holly Beth Wojcik (9 points, 6 rebounds) and Carly Haynes (8 points, 5 rebounds), all Endicott players saw time and contributed to the win.
Leading for Eastern Nazarene College was Rebecca Welch (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Brianne Henry (14 rebounds, 5 points). The Crusader's record now drops to 12-10 overall, 7-8 in the CCC.
Endicott improves to 13-7 overall, 11-1 in the CCC. Endicott travels to Anna Maria on Thursday for a 6:00 p.m. game. This is the make-up game from January 22nd.
