Endicott came up big again tonight beating Wentworth, 63-49. The Gulls have come out strong since their loss to Salem State over a week ago. The win for the Gulls was their third in as many home games. With the win Endicott's record improves to 6-7 overall, 4-1 in CCC play.
The Gulls stormed out to a 10-2 lead to start the game and led by 20 for much of the first half. The score at the break was 37-20. Lisa Chartier led the Gulls tallying 15 points and 10 rebounds. Liz Yuneman added 13 points, while Holly Beth Wojcik (9 points, 7 rebounds), Jodi Brown (9 points, 4 assists), and Sarah Voigt (8 points, 4 steals) all helped lead the way.
A fired up Wentworth team gathered momentum and slowed down the Gulls in the second half. The Leopards drew as close as 9, 40-31, before the Gulls extended the lead again. Wentworth won the second half, 29-26. Cheyenne Noble led Wentworth, scoring 14 points while dishing out 4 assists. Wentworth's record drops to 7-6 overall, 3-3 in the CCC.
Endicott travels to Anna Maria College on Saturday in Paxton, MA for a 1:00 p.m. conference tip off.
