Endicott came out strong in the first half outscoring the University of New England, 35-24, and sailed to a 70-52 victory tonight in Beverly MA. The Nor'easters kept it tight in the first 10 minutes of play, but the Gulls were too much for UNE to overcome.
Holly Beth Wojcik led the Gulls in the first half, scoring all of her 11 points, while also adding 5 rebounds for the game. Wojcik was one of the many to take on the scoring for Endicott on the night. Liz Yuneman (13 points, 4 assists, 3 steals) and Jodi Brown (9 points, 4 assists) added strong play and an outstanding night from behind the 3 point arc (66% overall).
The Gulls put the game away early in the second half behind the solid play of Carly Haynes (14 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds). Chrissy Callahan came off the bench to spark the Gulls (8 points and 2 steals) leading Endicott to it's third conference victory of the year.
UNE played a well-rounded game with almost every player scoring. Leading the Nor'easters was Essie McKinnon (8 points, 3 rebounds) and Marissa Hesketh (9 points and 6 rebounds).
Endicott advances to 5-7 overall, 3-1 in the CCC, while UNE's record drops to 5-7, 1-4 in the CCC. The Gulls take on Wentworth, Thursday, January 20th in the Post Center at 6:00 PM.
