Witkofsky earns Player of the Week award

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College middle blocker A.J. Witkofsky (Scotia, N.Y./ Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) has been named the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association's New England Player of the Week.

Witkofsky had a monster week for the Gulls (2-2 overall, 0-0 NECVA) as he set program records for kills in a match (35) and points in a match (40.5) in Endicott's thrilling five-game win over an athletic Elms College squad on Tuesday. Witkofsky followed-up his record breaking performance with 16 more kills in a three-game sweep of Mount Ida College. A.J. swung a solid 50% in two games last week and racked-up 12 total blocks in eight games played.

The 6'4" sophomore will return to action along with the rest of the Gulls on Thursday evening as they travel to New Haven, Conn. to square-off with Division II foe University of New Haven. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm.
