BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College dropped a tough 3-0 decision to North East Collegiate Volleyball Association CUNYAC member, Hunter College on Sunday afternoon in Beverly, Massachusetts. The loss sets the Gulls back to 3-4 overall.
Hunter (6-2) quickly capitalized on Endicott's flat, early play. The Hawks pounded their way to a convincing 30-18 game one win to open the afternoon. Despite the Gulls latter efforts, Hunter defeated the Gulls 30-26 and 30-28 to close out the match.
Endicott was once again led by A.J. Witkofksy (Scotia, N.Y.) as he recorded a team-high 17 kills. Ben Foster (Penfield, N.Y.) had 29 assists and seven digs for the Blue and Green while B.J. Worth (Londonderry, N.H), Jordan Durant (Honolulu, Hawaii), John Emery (Westford, Mass.) and Zeke Kubisch (Bethlehem, N.Y.) each had five kills in the losing effort.
Endicott will look to get back on the winning track on Tuesday as they travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts to take on NECVA New England power, MIT. Match time is slated for 7:00 pm.
