BANNER ELK, NC - Lees McRae College defeated Endicott College, 3-0, Tuesday night in non-conference men's volleyball action. The Bobcats had their hands full in the first two games, but still earned the sweep, winning by scores of 30-22, 30-24 and 30-14.
Wrapping up their spring break trip, the Gulls (12-17) received seven kills and an ace from senior co-captain Mike Coflesky (Royalston, MA/Athol) and six kills from freshman Clay Ostrander (Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville), whole also had a block and an ace.
Senior co-captain Eric Hunter (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) handed out 17 assists and Matt Keepin (Harwinton, CT/Lewis S. Mills) added five kills.
Junior George Chapell (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) accounted for one block and freshman Dan Coleman (Millis, MA/Millis) led the team with 11 digs.
Endicott returns to Beverly Wednesday night and will be off until Saturday night when it travels to Rivier College at 6:00 PM.
