BEVERLY, MA - Freshman outside hitter Clay Ostrander (Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville Regional) and senior co-captain Mike Coflesky (Royalston, MA/Athol) keyed Endicott College's 3-0 sweep of Mount Ida Thursday night in a Northeast Collegiate Volleyball Association match.
The Gulls swept the Mustangs by the scores of 30-28, 30-25 and 30-22 to win their second straight contest
Ostrander recorded 11 kills with just one error - .588 hitting percentage - and Coflesky added eight kills to help Endicott move its record to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in NECVA play.
Senior setter Eric Hunter (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) dished out 36 assists and picked up four blocks while junior middle hitter George Chapell (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) also blocked four attacks.
The Gulls will host non-conference foe Vasser College, which is ranked 15th in the AVCA Division III Poll, Friday night at 7:00 PM. Vasser competes in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.
