CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Endicott men's volleyball team recorded eight kills with four different players in a 3-0 victory over Lesley University Monday night.
The Gulls halted a two-game slide in which they lost to NYU and Stevens Tech, ranked third and sixth in the nation, respectively.
EC won 30-6, 30-11 and 30-4 to improve to 4-2. Freshman outside hitter Dan Coleman (Millis, MA/Millis), sophomore outside hitter Allan DelValle (Billerica, MA/Billerica), freshman middle back Joe Douglass (Beverly, MA/St. John's Prep) and sophomore setter Jeremy Hamel (Industry, ME/Mount Blue) each had eight kills.
Douglass also recorded eight aces, Coleman had five and junior middle hitter George Chapell (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) chipped in four. Freshman setter Matt Carroll (East Hartford, CT/East Hartford) dished out 19 assists and Hamel contributed 16 assists while freshman Tim Butterworth (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) dug up eight balls and Coleman had seven digs.
Endicott is on the road Friday at Mount Ida (7:00 PM) and February 2, at MIT (7:00 PM) before returning to MacDonald Gymnasium - where the Gulls are undefeated - February 3, to take on New Haven (7:00 PM).
