BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's tennis freshman Janith Madhok (New Delhi, India) has received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week accolades, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last week for the Gulls (4/11-17), Madhok went undefeated in both singles and doubles play as the Gulls picked up CCC wins against Suffolk and Wentworth.
Madhok was part of his team's No. 1 doubles pair against the Rams, earning an 8-1 victory on Wednesday (April 13). He followed that up by beating Suffolk's No. 2 singles student-athlete 6-1, 6-0.
Madhok moved to No. 2 doubles for Thursday's (April 14) match against Wentworth, earning another 8-1 win.
He didn't drop a single game in singles play against the Leopards, defeating their No. 2, 6-0, 6-0.
This is Madhok's second career CCC Rookie of the Week award and third career weekly honor.
