BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team defeated Emerson, 8-1, in non-conference action on Monday afternoon at the Bass River Tennis Club.
In doubles play, the Gulls received wins from the pairings of Oliver Pope (Dartmouth, Mass.)/Julian Richtarich (Naples, Fla.) and Hudson De Risi (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.)/Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) at No. 2 (8-4) and No. 3 (8-1), respectively, to take a 2-1 advantage into singles.
Pope and Richtarich also helped the Gulls sweep the singles portion of the match with victories at the No. 4 (6-4, 6-4) and No. 6 (6-0, 6-0) slots.
Meanwhile, Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.), Janith Madhok (New Delhi, India), Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.), and George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) rounded out the list of triumphs at No. 1 (1-6, 7-6, 10-4), No. 2 (6-0, 6-2), No. 3 (6-1, 6-3, match clincher), and No. 5 (6-2, 6-3).

"Our energy was really great throughout the roster," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "It felt like a real team win with all 14 of our student-athletes supporting each other."

Endicott (1-2) travels to Wheaton (Mass.) this Saturday at 4 PM. Emerson (0-6) takes on NCAA Division II opponent St. Michael's on Friday, February 25 at 12:30 PM.
