Men’s Tennis Tops Gordon On Senior Day, 7-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team downed Gordon, 7-2, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at the South Campus Tennis Courts.

After the match, seniors Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) and Zachary Lane (Rutland, Vt.) and graduate student Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) were all honored for their contributions to the program and the Endicott community as part of Senior Day.

Meanwhile, as for the contest, the Gulls flew out to an early 2-1 lead following doubles play.

Endicott received wins from Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.) / Rinkert at No. 1 (8-5) and Janith Madhok (New Delhi, India) / Dinardo at No. 2 (8-2).

From there, victories from Rinkert (6-1, 7-5, No. 2), Oliver Pope (Dartmouth, Mass.) (6-3, 6-0, No. 3), Julian Richtarich (Naples, Fla.) (6-0, 6-0, No. 4), Dinardo (6-2, 6-1, No. 5) and George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) (6-2, 6-3, No. 6) helped clinch the match for the Blue and Green.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls improved to 5-1 at The Nest this season.
  • Endicott has won its last two matches over conference opponents.

Endicott (5-8, 2-2 CCC) hosts Suffolk on Tuesday, April 12th at 3 PM. Gordon (2-7, 0-3 CCC) travels to Salve Regina on Tuesday, April 12th at 3:30 PM.
