Men’s Tennis Tops Wentworth, 8-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team defeated Wentworth, 8-1, in conference action on Thursday evening at the South Campus Courts.

In doubles play, the Gulls took all three slots in reverse order to jump out to a 3-0 advantage.

Oliver Pope (Dartmouth, Mass.) / Julian Richtarich (Naples, Fla.) claimed an 8-0 victory at No. 3, Janith Madhok (New Delhi, India) / Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) posted an 8-1 win at No. 2, and Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) / Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.) closed out the sweep with an 8-2 decision at No. 1.

Meanwhile, in singles, George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) notched a swift 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 6 and Richtarich clinched the match at No. 3 by a 6-1, 6-1 score.

"We set the tone from the first ball today with a lot of well-timed offensive moves," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "Our level has risen a lot from even a few weeks ago and I'm excited for what's to come."
