BEVERLY, Mass. – Salve Regina University won all three doubles contests en route to a decisive 7-2 win over host Endicott College in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference men’s tennis match in Beverly, Mass. The Seahawks improve to 6-10 overall and 4-3 in TCCC play, while the Gulls slip below .500 to 6-7 and 3-4 in league action.

Salve Regina jumped out to a 3-0 lead after all three doubles matches swung the Seahawks’ way. Andrew Martin (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Steve Masso (North Situate, R.I.) scored an 8-5 win over \#Dan Murray\# (Coventry, R.I.) and \#Devon Locke\# (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) in top doubles play, while Chad Strong (San Diego, Calif.) teamed with Zachary Rosenfeld (Easton, Conn.) to get past \#Olivier Joggi\# (Stoneham, Mass.) and \#Mike D’Ambra\# (Barrington, R.I.), 8-3. Salve closed out doubles play with a 9-7 win by Brian Castrichini (Winchester, Mass.) and Aaron Isch (Tolland, Conn.) over \#Porter Williams\# (Norwalk, Conn.) and \#Jake Cohen\# (Barrington, R.I.).

\#Dan Murray\# and \#Olivier Joggi\# were the only singles winners for the Gulls, as Murray took the No. 1 match-up over Andrew Martin and Joggi won in No. 5 singles over Aaron Isch. Salve Regina took the remaining four single contests to coast to the 7-2 win.

Endicott returns to action on Saturday when the Gulls host Gordon College at 1:00 p.m. The Seahawks take the court on the same day when they host Curry.
