Gulls selected fourth in men's tennis
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Following a second place regular season finish in 2009, the Endicott College men’s tennis team has been selected to finish third according to the 2010 TCCC Preseason Polls, it was announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Thursday morning. The Gulls were 11-6 overall and 7-2 in league games last season before falling to Salve Regina University in the TCCC Semifinals.

Roger Williams (18-7, 9-0) received 10 of the 12 first-place votes in the 2010 TCCC preseason poll. Salve Regina was selected by the coaches as the runner-up in the conference and received one first-place vote, while Colby-Sawyer was picked fourth and garnered the remaining first-place vote. Nichols was selected to finish fifth by the coaches. This season, Anna Maria and Regis join competition for the 2010 Men’s Tennis Championship. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league’s head men’s tennis coaches.

Teams received 12 points for every first place vote received, 11 points for second place votes, 10 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
