BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott College short-stick defensive midfielder Ethan Cupples (Marshfield, Mass.) has been named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-America Second Team, the organization announced on Wednesday morning.
The recognition is Cupples' second career Preseason All-America award after he was named an honorable mention by Inside Lacrosse in 2024. The reigning conference Defensive Player of the Year is the first student-athlete to earn Preseason All-American nods since Andrew Fithian (Marshfield, Mass.) in 2022.
Along with Cupples, face-off specialist Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.) and midfielder Guerin Favreau (Woodstock Valley, Conn.) were named honorable mention All-Americans by USA Lacrosse Magazine. Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was also named a Preseason All-American honorable mention by Inside Lacrosse on Wednesday morning. This is the first Preseason All-America nod for all three student-athletes.
