Men's Lacrosse Handles Hartford, 21-7

HARTFORD, Conn. — The Endicott men's lacrosse team bested the University of Hartford, 21-7, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Saturday afternoon at Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium. 

Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) paced the Gulls offense with five goals to go with two assists for seven points. Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) scored four goals. 

Nic Cupples (Marshfield, Mass.)Colt Green (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.), and Curtis Redd (Amherst, N.H.) all recorded two goals. Kyle Ando (Marlborough, Mass.)Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.)Matt Cawley (Westwood, Mass.), Ethan Cupples (Marshfield, Mass.), Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), and Matt Wright (Oregon City, Ore.) all added solo tallies.

Christopher Tillotson (Monroe, Conn.) picked up his fifth win of the year making six saves. Teagan Alexander (Foxboro, Mass.)Zachary Licavoli (East Setauket, N.Y.), and Cayden Infantino (Glastonbury, Conn.) all manned the cage during the second half as Alexanders and Infantino each recorded four saves, while Licavoli added two stops. At the faceoff "X" Barker and Travis Foster (Lyman, Maine) combined to 22-31 with Barker going 18-25 and Foster winning four out of six.

The Gulls came out firing on offense as they scored the first seven goals of the game while the defense caused five Hartford turnovers and Tillotson made three saves. After the Hhawks goal at 12:13 in the second quarter, Endicott went on a 4-2 scoring run to take an 11-3 halftime lead. 

Endicott's offense contined to cruise in the third quarter as they outscored the hosts 7-1 in the quarter and led 18-4 heading to the final 15 minutes. The two teams traded goals throughout the fourth quarter as they each scored three goals and Endicott picked up the 21-7 road victory.

Endicott (6-3, 2-0 CNE) visits Nichols on Tuesday, April 1 at 4 PM. Hartford (4-5, 1-1 CNE) travels to Curry on Wednesday, April 2 at 4 PM.
