Men’s Lacrosse Downs Western New England, 23-7

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated conference rival Western New England, 23-7, on a rainy Saturday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

The Gulls scored eight straight goals in the first quarter and were never threatened the rest of the way. 

Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) led the Endicott offense with five goals and three assists for eight points in the home victory, while Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) added four tallies.

Guerin Favreau (Woodstock Valley, Conn.) recorded a hat-trick as Curtis Redd (Amherst, N.H.)Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.), and Matt Wright (Oregon City, Ore.) all found the back of the net twice.

Brendan Batchen (Buffalo, N.Y.)Rex Bruschi (North Attleboro, Mass.)Donovan Devellis (Norfolk, Mass.)Nick DiSalvo (Narragansett, R.I.), and Derek Thompson (Avon, Conn.) all scored once.

In goal, Christopher Tillotson (Monroe, Conn.) improved to 6-1 this season, making three saves in the first half. Teagan Alexander (Foxboro, Mass.) and Zachary Licavoli (East Setauket, N.Y.) each played 15 minutes in the second half, recording four and two saves each, respectively.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls have won three straight against Western New England.
  • Endicott has won four straight games (5-1 at home this season).
  • During that stretch, the Blue and Green have averaged 25 goals per game.
  • Endicott led by as many as 17 goals on four separate occasions in the contest (20-3, 21-4, 22-5, 23-6).

  • Tyksinski notched his 100th career point (73 goals, 27 assists).
