BEVERLY, Mass. — Two members of the Endicott men's lacrosse team have earned Conference of New England (CNE) weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.) and Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) collected Specialist of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
THOMAS BARKER
In the Gulls 27-5 win over UNE, the Needham, Mass. native went nearly perfect, going 17-19 with 16 ground balls. He scored a goal in the game as well in the first half as Endicott built a 20-3 halftime lead.
Then, against Hartford, Barker went 18-25 facing off with 13 ground balls. He scored another goal in the road win, along with adding an assist.
This is his 17th career Specialist of the Week award and third time this season.
CAM FERNANDEZ
Fernandez headlined Endicott's offense as he finished with 15 points during a 2-0 week, recording nine goals and six assists. The senior added five ground balls and a caused turnover as well.
In a home win over UNE, Fernandez tied his career high for points in a game (8) and set a new career high for assists (4). He added four goals to go with three ground balls and a caused turnover.
Followed up against Hartford by tying his career high for goals in a game (5) to go with two assists for seven points. Scooped up two ground balls as well.
This is Fernandez's third career Offensive Player of the Week award and second this season.
