BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team travels to No. 1 nationally ranked Middlebury College for the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, November 13 with an 11 AM start time at Kohn Field. Here's a preview of Saturday's contest.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs, but not the first game played by Endicott at Middlebury's facility as the Gulls fell to No. 9 Kean University, 3-1, in their last NCAA Tournament Second Round appearance in 2019.
- The Gulls have advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season.
- Endicott knocked off Vassar College, 2-1, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, November 10 [BOX SCORE | RECAP].
- Behind a perfect regular season campaign, Middlebury (18-0) received a bye heading into the second round of the tourney.
- Middlebury, who has only allowed 15 goals this season, enters this year's tournament as the three-time defending NCAA Division III champion.
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner of Saturday's game will face the winner of No. 14 SUNY New Paltz (17-2) and No. 7 Tufts University (14-4) on Sunday, November 14 at 1 PM.
